Whoever knew you ‘needed’ so many things for your baby?
Visiting the Baby Show as a pregnant or a new mum is like visiting a food festival when you are a very hungry foodie. You want everything. You may not need everything but the want is certainly there.
It’s filled with every major parenting brand you can think of such as: Tommee Tippee, Mothercare, The Gro Company and Cosatto to name a few as well as some really cool newer brands such as Bednest ( a personal favourite) and Ewan the Dream Sheep.
I only had 3 hours to spend at the show due to travel times etc and really you need a bit longer than that to see everything but I still came away with a long list of things I want – I couldn’t buy everything as I had to get back on the train.
The facilities at the show are fabulous with changing areas provided by Asda – so no need to take hoardes of nappies and wipes as its all provided and a brilliant breastfeeding area with nursing chairs for those with hungry little ones and high chairs/spoons/food for those with older babies all provided by Tommee Tippee and Plum Baby.
Stands I visited and loved:
*The Gro company and Bednest (stand E20)
Both of these brands are brands I use daily and love. We used Gro Swaddles for Izzy and now use for Chloe and its amazing how much they both slept better using them. I’ve also got Gro Clock which we are staring to use this week and will be changing my bedroom light to a Gro Light soon for easier breastfeeding at night.
Bednest is a brand I wish I’d known about with Izzy as Chloe loves hers and it makes life so much easier for me as a breastfeeding mum. It’s a small cot which attaches to the side of your bed enabling you to co sleep without having baby in your bed. Brilliant.
Chloe giving my arms a rest at the Baby Show:
* Tommee Tippee (stand L60)
We love TT products and use lots of them including a baby monitor, soothers and steriliser. Lots of brilliant new baby and weaning products at the show and also amazing breast pads. They have a new range of soothers which launched yesterday and are pretty fabulous so definitely check them out.
* Funky Giraffe (stand C30)
Another brand we already use and love. Gorgeous bandana bibs, accessories and some really cute dresses on show yesterday all at really reasonable prices. I do love a bargain.
* LoveKeepCreate (stand D35)
I haven’t used this brand yet but hope to in the future. They make beautiful keepsakes from your old baby clothes. They had great discounts available if you booked at the show.
*Snugglebundl (stand C33)
The amazing baby lifting blanket you may have seen on Dragons Den – really useful product and lovely people on the stand also.
* Slumber – Roo (stand E9)
A brilliant stand to visit where you can buy brands such as Boba, Scootababy and Moby. The staff will show you how to use them and I warn you, you will want to buy it all.
There was lots more that I loved and I may add to this list when I am a bit more awake!
Definitely worth a trip to The Baby Show – runs until February 23rd at The Excel in London and at various locations later on in the year.
* I was provided with a press pass to review the show.
