I know the year isn’t over yet but I am starting to take stock. Don’t we all start to do that? I hope it isn’t just me.
By taking stock I mean thinking on the year that has gone by, what I have achieved, what I haven’t ..trying not to put too much emphasis on the what I haven’t part. I can’t pretend to be happy with every single aspect of my life within the past 12 months and I would be surprised if any of us could genuinely say that but one thing I am really proud of is the growth of this blog. From a place to leave my rambling thoughts and hastily thrown recipes with dark, blurry images it has now become a job as well as a hobby. Brands value my work enough to commission me to create recipes and take photographs for them and rather spectacular hotels invite me to come and stay – sometimes when a particularly interesting work opportunity comes in I have to stop and think.. did they really mean to email me?? Surely not.
I am well aware that I would not have these opportunities or this blog at this point in time if it were not for you, my very lovely readers. Some days I am genuinely astonished by the warmth and support whichΒ you all surround me with. I don’t say thank you enough but really THANK YOU.
And so onto the reason for this post. One of my favourite reviews of this year was a really fun stay at The Hilton London Metropole in September with my sisters. You can read my review here. It is an absolute gorgeous hotel and it was such a luxurious, enjoyable break. So when I decided to run a competition as a thank you to my readers, it was an easy decision to ask the Hilton to be involved.
Now tell me.. how many of you would like to stay at one of the nicest hotels in London and enjoy a luxurious break with breakfast for up to 2 adults and 2 children?
I am quite sure this will appeal to a few of you.
Here are a few photos from my recent stay:

I’d love to take the children to London whilst I’m off over Christmas. They’re so used to me being there with work, and always ask if they can sneak into my suitcase so it would be so lovely to take them and stay in this hotel… although they may get the wrong idea of what I do when I’m away π

I Adore London, our beautiful City,The hustle and bustle of the streets, loads of famous shops and Carnaby street is a must with its quaint boutiques , the night life, Live Music of all genres, I just Love all the different sounds, Theatre land with its Happy and colourful costumes. Song and dance, I adore the West end, the bright and neon lights. The old buildings, all the historic landmarks, the glorious glistening river Thames, posh restaurants , London is buzzing and is alive, I Love to take pictures and capture memory of everywhere I go, my favourite place to sit is on Primrose Hill, with its stunning views across London watch the world go pass, and the glow from the Sun settle on a warm summers evening with the one person I love, sharing a picnic and glass of wine see day turn into night the London skyline light up as dusk then turns into the Night and to finish of a stay in your magnificent hotel would finish of the whole package
