There was a time when I believed my slow cooker was only to be used to create comfort food in the Autumn throughout to Winter months. It was all stews and casseroles but how times have changed! I use mine at least once a week to create dishes or to slow cook hunks of meat or whole chickens but I have used it for puddings and cakes too.
