Homemade Edible Christmas Gifts -Part 1

November 2, 2015 · by munchiesandmunchkins · 13 Comments

I love making Christmas gifts for family and friends. I generally buy gifts too and these are a special treat on top but you could easily put a collection of homemade goodies together to make a festive hamper which would make a really thoughtful present.

I’ve rounded up a collection of homemade gift ideas for you and as there are so many I will be sharing in two different posts. Some of the ideas are super simple and ideal for getting little hands involved in the kitchen, you could also adapt quite a few of them to make something a little experimental if you are a creative type.

Without further ado here we go…

Raspberry Coconut Ice:

Cranberry & Pistachio Nougat:

Candied Orange Peel Dipped In Chocolate:

Slow Cooker Apple Butter:

So many lovely and delicious ideas for gifts. I think homemade gifts really show that you made an effort and give it that personal touch.

Oh my gosh — what a lovely selection to choose from. I might just have to start with the gingerbread biscotti…

I love getting home made gifts, as well as giving them. Luckily, I usually get a little something from one of my friends. Haven’t managed to work on the other enough yet 😉

Wow, some fantastic ideas here! I LOVE making homemade gifts – its just so special! I actually prefer it to buying people anything – it’s so rare that people need things these days that they don’t just buy.

So many good ideas! I look forward to seeing the next post. As our family grew and grew I started doing hampers for those I still wanted to give a gift too but it was just too expensive to buy for. The in-laws, aunts, uncles, cousins and grandparents are all recipients of home-made gifts now 🙂 they all know how much joy I get out of putting the hampers together so I think (hope!) it means more than just another gift bought in the Boots 3 for 2 haha!

I love giving away edible gifts as Christmas presents 🙂 the process is so fun and much easier than trying to figure out what people want. Everyone likes a treat, especially if it’s one of above recipes! 😀
