The Instagram & Instagrammers I Love – September 2017

October 1, 2017 · by munchiesandmunchkins · 4 Comments

Well I am only a day late with this post which considering how hectic life seems to have been lately is not bad at all.

How has Instagram been this month? Well I have been enormously lazy with IG over the past four weeks, I have been focusing on some behind the scenes blog work and also I have been away with my family for a much needed break… this led to a very quiet month of posting for me. My following has continued to grow slowly and steadily with just over a 100 new followers. I am getting a little frustrated with the way the feed is organised these days, I see photos from 7 days ago alongside photos from 15 minutes ago and I just want it to be instant again.

My top three posts in September were:

Firstly a selfie from Copenhagen, I had some lovely comments on this photo which really made me smile:

Secondly was this dish that I created at an event hosted by Tesco in London last month:

And finally this shot of my coffee and cake at Milk & Sugar in Cardiff, one of my favourite places to eat in the capital.

As always I know the real reason you read this post is for the recommendations of who to follow so I won’t make you wait any longer, coming up are five accounts I am really enjoying this month:

Jason Bradbury ( @jasonbradbury) is currently on a year long trip around the world with his wife and children, I am loving his Instagram and twitter feeds and his videos telling all about their travels.

Next up is Kacie from @therarewelshbitblog, Kacie is a food and travel blogger from Cardiff who I have followed for quite a while now and met for the first time a few months ago. Her feed is full of the best local food and also photos from her trips, go give her a follow…

Now this next one may not be that appealing to you unless you either love Game Of Thrones.. or you love dogs. If you love both then this will be your new favourite account – @got_direwolves. It is the official account for Summer and Greywind ( aka Odin and Thor ) from Game Of Thrones. I met the dogs on my trip to Ireland in June and their lovely owners too. I always enjoy seeing this account pop up in my feed, it is more than satisfying my GOT cravings now that we have the long wait for season 8. I like this shot of the dogs playing in the Dark Hedges:

Next up is Sandhya from @sandhyaskitchen, a food and travel blogger and photographer. I went to a blog conference a few years ago and listened to a wonderfully inspiring talk from Sandhya on food styling and photography, it gave me loads of ideas. She has such a beautiful feed. It will make you hungry..

And finally Niki from @rebelrecipes, Niki is a freelance food consultant, recipe creator, stylist & photographer as well as an award winning blogger. Her feed is vibrant and her recipes ooze health but also look incredibly tasty. I met Niki at an event for The Soil Association recently and it was great to meet in person and put a real face to the feed, she’s lovely btw. I love this beautiful shot of this acai bowl:

This is great – I really need to pay more attention to Instagram, but there don’t seem to be enough hours in the day… argh!

Lovely roundup, Becky. I’m afraid I’m in the same boat as Helen. Not enough hours in the day but I’m sure there are plenty of gems on IG to find, as you pointed out.

Some fab pics. I love your Insta feed and it always makes me smile. So hard to grow these days though and I feel like I don’t always get to see everything I follow x
