3 Ingredient Peanut Butter Cookies

July 22, 2015 · by munchiesandmunchkins · 10 Comments

If you haven’t seen images of these 3 ingredient cookies floating around social media lately then where have you been??

I’ve seen them everywhere I look and of course this meant I had to try them out. Also they are dairy and gluten free which means they are suitable for all of us.

3 ingredient peanut butter cookies

I’m not sure where the recipe originated from, I’ve seen it shared from so many sites and images that I can’t give you an exact source but my inspiration was taken from Pinterest.

As the title suggests this recipe uses just 3 ingredients.

You will need:

1 cup of Peanut Butter
1 cup of sugar ( I used caster although the recipe just said white )
1 medium egg ( it just said 1 egg. I used medium )

Preheat your oven to 180c.

Mix your ingredients together until completely conbined. Spoon dollops of mixture onto a baking tray lined with baking paper/parchment. The amount you make depends on the size of biscuit you want. I made about 12 and they were a decent size. If I made it again I would probably make about 15 so more treat sized.

Bake for about 8-10 minutes, keep a close eye. You want them to be still a little soft on top. Leave to cool slightly before attempting to move. Dust with a little caster sugar and serve.

These are delicious. I’d make them again in a second. Easy and quick prep and a short baking time mean you can have snacks ready to eat in 20 minutes.

I must be one of those people that you’re talking about living under a rock because I’ve never heard of these, but I’m a huge fan of easy and delicious! I wish there was something other than peanut butter we could use in them because my husband doesn’t like peanut butter. I know!! CRAZY! http://www.ourfoodieappetite.com/zynodoa-restaurant-review-staunton-va/

That is crazy. Ha. Definitely try them and eat them all yourself. Could work with almond butter? Does he like that? X

*butting in* There are lots of ‘easy’ cookie recipes doing the rounds that use Nutella instead. Maybe he would like them instead?

I love the sound of these although they do seem dangerously simple … I mean, it’s quicker to make these than nip to the corner shop. Hmmmm, might try them tomorrow!
