A little while ago I received an invite to go to a foodie event. It was to be held in London, hosted by Market Deli – a new range of snacks from Walkers and there would be refreshments, grown up company and we would get to watch the very lovely Tom Aiken cook right in front of us. This sounded more than perfect to me and just happened to be right at the beginning of a visit to stay with family in Kent so I was close by which was a bonus.
As always plans don’t always go the way you want them to and despite leaving home a whopping 7 hours before I needed to be there we got stuck right behind a car accident and instead of spending the evening in a swanky London venue I spent it on the M25. Fun.
Luckily I was still sent a goodie bag of treats to enjoy and I turned a little green with envy checking out fellow bloggers photos of the night.
Here are some pics for you to get an idea of what happened:
Looks good right?
And now a little bit of info about Market Deli:
This summer sees the launch of Market Deli, the exciting new range of premium snacks from the makers of Walkers crisps. The range – which has been inspired by authentic produce found in delicatessens – aims to bring home the great variety of flavours as found across Europe and the UK.
Available nationwide from 23rd June, the Market Deli range will feature pita chips and tortilla chips, in addition to the classic potato chip – providing even more variety for those with a passion for food.
The Market Deli range comes in eight mouth-watering flavours – with each flavour featuring irresistible real ingredients such as Mature Cheddar from Cornwall to aged Aceto Balsamico di Modena PGI and delicious Sundried Tomatoes from the Manisa region in Turkey.
Each of the flavour combinations and the ingredients used to create the new products, have been selected and crafted by food experts to ensure a truly indulgent and immersive taste experience, making Market Deli the perfect addition to an evening in with a partner and a drink.
And what do we think?
I really like crisps. Who doesn’t? I’m definitely more of a posh crisp fan. I love trying new and different flavours and these really are right up my street. They kind of blew my diet out of the water as they were too good to stop at one or two but I’m not complaining.
My favourite is the Anglesey sea salt with black pepper.. They are awesome on their own or dipped in little houmous.
I really want to try the roasted garlic with herbs next… Must go shopping.
